Default Fall crappie

Anyone get a good bite goin' yet? Went to a favorite crappie spot of mine and only got one. Quite a few bass on ultralite gear made for a fun day though. From everything I've looked into, might be a bit too warm for the real fall bit to turn on. Any thoughts? Good fishing gentleman (and ladies of course).

Default Fall Crappie

Well guys I don't know. Went last week with my friend to his club for fishing. We hit a honey hole- 25 crappie's- all 9 to 10 inches. We couldn't get the minnows in the water fast enough in the 20 minutes that this happened. Also caught 2 bluegills- i swear they were 1lbers. all on minnows. I lost another bull crappie- 1/2 way to the boat, comes half way out of the water- my eyes bugged out- he was a 1lb+ and spits the hook. Almost dove in after it. All in all, we went through 2 doz. minnows- 32 fish in 3 hours. And no one knows our spot-priceless.

Chicago River is loaded with them although eating them would be a mistake
