Crappie, crappie, crappie and more crappie. Fished Tuesday - Friday and ended up cleaning 93 crappie and 2 bluegills. All caught on jig & minnow. C&R'ed some largemouth, but nothing of any great size.

The dominant crappie year class run 9 - 10 or so inches. Caught one older class than ran 13'' and a few of a younger class that I guesstimate around 6''. Did not keep any of those to measure.

Tried still fishing for a bit with red worms but all I was catching was 4 - 5'' gills.

Crappies:

Gills:

The 9 inch was caught in deeper water, notice the bulging eyes.

Cleaned out some seaweed to clear out the dock area. Brought 4 garbage bags worth back to mulch my tomato plants

Spot #6

I can say the last two days the crappies were caught in spots I usually do not catch them. They were actually much closer to the cottage so I did not have to row a long distance to target them.

No stray perch caught, usually I land at least one when using a jig & minnow combo.
