Crappie still active, sunny skies at high noon with no wind? No problem!
Current dominant year class is a little over 9.5'' and a little under 10.5'' Caught one larger one, about 11.5'' There is also a younger year class, not measured but I guesstimate about 6 - 7''
Met River Wader Saturday morning and took him out for some crappie action. Once again a simple setup was all that was needed. Small jig and a minnow with a small split shot about one foot up the line to get the jig down a bit more. Trolled a bit until you locate a school and catch them one after another. Seemed to be in about 15 FOW just above the weeds.
