Default Carp fishing boat?

Thanks for taking a look at this thread, I am considering moving to Illinois to pursue carp fishing commercially. From what I have heard and seen, it seems like they are ripe for the taking, if it could be done right it seems like a profit could be made right? I have looked into licensing fee's, but I need opinions on what type of vessel would be optimal for a small operation. Also would like to know what the most productive areas are in relation to the fisheries. Just a kid looking to pursue a dream, any help would be appreciated, thank you for any insight!

Not because I wanted to get into it, just know more about it, I did a bunch of reading and watched youtube videos of how the commercial carp fisherman operate.

So, the populations are lower than they were, and the commercial fisherman are already talking about the "good old days" of 2008-2010 when the money was great. But lots out there still I guess.

The kind of boats and nets they use are shown in a handful of vids:

They even go into detail as to what fish processors they use--which seems like a great place to start. Maybe call up the fish processors and get the skinny on what the average hauls are like--I'm sure they'd welcome another supplier and offer tips.

I can't find any contact info for American Heartland, but I guess they're in Grafton.

Good Luck!
