Default 1750 Tyee or 1850 Trophy

I have narrowed my decision down two 2 boats. I am looking at a 2011 Lund 1750 Tyee and an Alumacraft 2010 1850 Trophy (Demo). Both boats will have a 150 hp and hydraulic steering. The Tyee has a merc and the Trophy has a Yamaha both with 5 year warranties. There are numerous other details about financing and some minor options, but I don't want to make this post too confusing. Ultimately the New Lund is about $6,000 more and a foot shorter, has a cover, and will allow a trade in ($5,000.00). The Alumacraft Has a demo engine, Is bigger, can hold 8 ft rods, and much closer to my house, Vhf radio, but will not allow a trade in.

The boat will be used on both inland lakes ( Chippawa Flowage, Chain o lakes, Bull shoals in Arkansas), and on lake michigan, probably 60% on LM.

Thanks in advance for any opinions, anyone interested in my crestliner check out the trading post

I'd opt for the bigger boat. You have already outgrown one boat. It'll take longer to outgrow the 18 footer. I out grew my 17 footer 2 years after I bought it. Have been contemplating buying a 20 footer for about a year now but I'm having second thoughts justifying the expense.

Go with the Alumacraft- Yammy, 6K less, and a foot longer make this a done deal for me. Is it a 4-stroke?

Both have 5-year warranties to ease your mind about the demo engine. How many hours on the engine?

Both engines are 4 strokes. I am being assured that there are no more than 20 hours on the engine. He said he would run the (ECM??) test for the final sale.
