Default Father and son bunny hunt.

Had a chance to get out rabbit hunting for the first time. All I can say is what a blast!! Took the boy along but he is too young to hunt legally yet but soon. He had fun shagging our kills though and spotting them for the old man. I was shooting a single shot H&R 20ga it was a perfect gun for rabbit. Short and compact easy to carry and quick to shoulder. Seen at least 40 rabbit and took our limit in three hours. Eight between my buddy and I. They taste better than I though they would. Made them in a Dijon Mustard Sauce and put a couple in the freezer. Will be back at it soon.

Cool! Love to see pics of the kids getting involved! Rabbits are good eating. Just a pain to clean (smell) and not much meat for the work involved. Now, if I could figure out a way to eat those disgusting geese - lol!

Nice. Not sure I've ever ate rabbit, but I would hunt them just for the pelts, it makes some mighty warm undies.

Very cool, that must have been a blast. Where were you hunting where there is no snow?
It hasn't stopped since Tuesday here (Algonquin).

It was a week or so ago in Watseka Illinois south of Kankakee. If you look in pic of me you see some snow. It was raining that day and on the warm side. But the bunnies were a running.
