Fished Mazonia north today with my two brothers. Fished from 8.m. until noon. Water temp ranged from 52 to 56 degrees. Water was stained. Very chilly north wind this morning and it caused us to leave earlier than I would have liked to because the fish were still biting when we left. Got about 12 in the boat this morning. I landed 7 of them. Most fish ranged from 13-15". I measure most. Two were between 15-16". All fish had very healthy color and weight. Caught two on back to back casts and probably six on that same shoreline. Most were caught on drop-offs or deep points. Saw a lot of bass cruising up shallow, but wouldn't bite. All in all a pretty good weekend of fishing at Mazonia. I have pics of the keepers but they probably weren't much over 2lbs.
