madeira beach, florida

Postby Jim Ross » Sun Jun 12, 2011 11:21 pm

just got back from a fishing trip friday from florida. left at 3pm. on the florida fisherman for a 39 hrs. trip to the middlegrounds which is about 100 miles out. me and graig loaded with live pinfish and sardines. it takes a good 9 hrs. to get to the grounds.we started to fishat 12-30 am. and the mango snappers were on fire . we fish from 12.30am to 900pm with a few stops in between. we both got are limits of mango snappers, plus 4 each red snapper which were between 8 to 12 lbs. 1 nice yellowtail snapper, and craig also got his limit of red grouper. we did release 7 keeper gag groupers the biggest being 20 lbs. the season will open sept. 16. i will be there in oct to get them back. we left on tuus.at 3pm and came back on thurs. at 6am. its was a great trip but it was rough and high seas coming back. we had a great dinner at the friendly fisherman restaurant with some of are fish, on thurs. night.we booked the trip out of hubbardsmarina.com. i been on over 20 trips from this places,a always a good time . check for seasons grouper and snapper plus amberjack. ----- good luck and good fishing -------- jim ross

Sounds like you had a great trip.

Never know what one pulls up that far out?
