Sorry I didn't post about total cost so here is a break out of what you might spend building your custom rod.

If you want a St Croix blank look at their website and take 20% off St Croix’s price
Guides range from 12 – 35 per set on long rods
Handles and seats from 12 – 30
Laser engraving is 5 per line not letter
Classroom supplies and instruction 25

About 150 will get you a sweet rod

Aw man, this would totally have been what I asked for with my upcoming birthday had I known. Multiple swear words.
"Some even describe the cluricaun as a night "form" of the leprechaun, who goes out to drink after finishing his daily chores."

Do to the lack of interest we have to cancel the class.

If anyone wanted we could do an over night trip to DLF for the same weekend.

I did this last year and had a great time building rods.

That stinks. I already bought a Daiwa Sol 2500 spinning reel for the rod I was going to build.

Tod, how long of a drive is it from the Crystal Lake area.
