Des Plaines River 11/19/2011

Postby Dan S » Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:39 pm

Fished the River with "Dave Mannion" and "Nick Doumel" this afternoon for some Pike action.

Winds were whipping out of the north @ 20 mph with gusts up to 35. It made for tough fishing.

We fished one of our usual spots with no fish landed. River was on the rise, as it rained throughout the outing.

Nick connected with one fish, but couldn't turn it into a catch. Water was 51.7 degrees.

We made the move to another spot where almost a year to the day we Crushed'em!!

Armed with a White/White #5, Purple/Pink #5 "testing bait" and a Sexy Red #5 we found fish.

Total of 7 fish landed w/ at least 7 more missed including 1 Pike.

It was COLD, WET and COLD!! I am sure I will be sick tomorrow. BUT WELL WORTH IT!

Enjoy.
