Pass the factories and turn left at the R/R crossing... Small Forest Preserve on the right, and about a mile of easy river access to the left... I used to park by the "Caboose" and let nightcrawlers do the fishing... Lot's of cops back there and it used to be a big biker hang-out...

That's the DPR though - not the Cal-Sag...but still a decent fishing area. It's great when it floods with crawlers.

During the lower water, head down the gravel road, past the caboose, and fish the pillars under the lagrange rd. bridge. Lots of big carp hanging there

We had our family reunuion and a Carp boil there last summer! That place is a Carp fishermans paradise!

I know right? Me and a few of my yellow brothers came here to have a Carp fest, so that we can save DNR some money on helping to get rid of these carps, because y'all don't eat them and eat everything else.
