If you read the study, it is actually all for eliminating yotes and illustrates the problems they cause. I guess one could assume that I am against killing yotes because I asked some questions and made some inquiries about about the original situation in Nik's neck of the woods. While I might disagree with his reasoning and intentions, the actual shooting of the animals don't bother me. If they were a legitimate threat I would have no qualms about shooting them either. I grew up in the country. Nothing but corn, soybeans, and trees N/S/E/W. We had livestock and owned and boarded horses. We took care of the stock and feed and had everything under lock and key in order to detere nuisance animals. If there was a problem, we shot first and asked questions later. For every rodent we killed there was another one to take its place eventually. Although they were around, we never had to shoot a yote. Honestly though, like the study said, they will never be erradicated. One can shoot them, poison them, whatever. They will always be around, and I suppose Nik will be ready to whacknstack anytime one makes the mistake of being drawn to his community by his careless neighbors. No big loss. Excuse me for posting an article reinforcing your POV
