I could not find one person willing to hit the fox fathers day morning for a short wade. Depressing. I sold my big boat and got a kayak, now I don't have to look for someone to split gas with! I have experienced the same things with my hunting. Peoples interest wane, and mine does not.

Same boat here (so to speak).
All of my friends have kids now except me and they have non-stop little league or hockey games/practices.
Money is tight and my best fishing partner (the wife) has been working every weekend.
I fish alone at times but much more prefer company.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. My dad used to take trips with me but he's in his 70s now and and he can't really be in the boat all day unless the weather is perfect. Plus, he's in southern IL so I just meet him at a lake down there. I'd love to take some trips up to northern WI or MI searching for smallies. Most of my bass buddies are either fishing tournaments or just fishing locally. I want to take either long weekend trips or multiple days during the week but it too expensive to go by myself. I've been in a couple bass clubs basically just to go on some fishing trips but I felt they often drove too far for just two days of fishing or couldn't go to some of the places I wanted to fish. Oh well, looks like my wife and I will just have to rent a place up there for a week for a vacation.
