Got a few calls today from a handful of friends that were out today and say the water out on the lake is dirty again! They managed to box a few fish but nothing fast and furious. The only thing going for us the next few days will be a little warmer air temps and a light wind. Dirty water isn't good! .

I was out solo yesterday and couldnt catch a perch to save my life. Clarity was pretty fair I thought. This was in fact my first time perch fishing Indiana waters so just getting a feel for the area as far as that goes. I took a 90deg. heading 6 miles out of Pastrick which I believe put me at what most people refer to as "Gary light" or at least a short ride from it, aka Gary clay flats?????? I heard that for the first time coming off the water at the ramp. I fished 6 different spots from 48'-53' sometimes near other boats other times all alone. Just trying to find fish. I didnt see a single perch pulled into anyones boat.only one boat noted as they drifted by that they only had 4 in the box. Two others back at the ramps had 26 with only a couple of jumbos. I tried various presentations/baits. perch flies, crappie rigs, 3-ways, with fat heads, shrimp, and gulp minnows. had my fill of not catching so I motored in and cast jigs for smallies. Guess what? Didnt catch a smallie either. On my way back to Pastrick I dragged baits for a few coho. got my one man limit in 90min as I went 8/8 putting 3 shakers back. Despite calls for prohibitive winds, I was glad I went out any way as wave were 1-2' TOPS off shore were i was perching. I'll give it another go soon.

Well damn it Poorboy, I've read a lot of your posts and you seem to be the true Perch Masta! Walmart needs more empolyees like you....I think?
I hope you charge a pretty penny to the guys you bring out with you. A question for you: What's the best boat to buy+boat gear for the Big Lake? Part 2: Use the same boat for a small lake , say 300 acres.? Anyway. I like reading the stories and seeing the pic's.

Don't let him fool you. He doesn't work at Wal Mart. Poorboy works for Direct TV. Haven't you seen his commercials? He's the guy in the red jumpsuit with the 2 hot broads and the miniature giraffe.

"Opulence ? I has it." He's that guy? Sweet! Though Ive long subscribed to the theory of "No pain. No pain" I kinda feel a little closer to greatness knowing we think alike. So Ive got that going for me..........which is nice.
