there's a strain of brown that stays inside or close to harbors all year. i know they stock them in kenosha. those browns you got look just like them. nice fish. big saw calls them harbor rats

Way to go Dan :)2 thanks for the post and photos. Lol, I enjoy a little dip when fishing here and there..

Did they put on a good battle? And how do you like to prepare those?

Do they still taste good in warming water like we have? Tks

Nice fish bud. They are "Harbor Rats". I believe the strain of brown is called a "seforellin" (spelling). They live longer than a german brown and they get quite a bit bigger and have a faster growth rate. Great to catch no matter what they are though !

A thrill indeed, especially from shore.

Chunked, brined, & smoked, with a good bagel, cream cheese, chopped chives, slice of tomato & thats what one says -- gastronomical climax.
