Been a few years for myself, so I just bought some more casting spoons and will be hitting the harbors after work starting next week and all through the fall a couple nights a week. I will not be bringing a net, so those who want to net the fish I hope to catch, there yours for the taking. I have too much already and just ooking to have some fun.
We use to fish the UP portion of the lake in late summer off their peirs and had a net with a 10ft handle as those walls were tall. Miss the excitment of the long runs on light tackle and need a change from trolling all season.
Salmon don't read dates of the year, every year will usually vary. Sometimes the kings will come in early in Aug when the conditions are right. Then they will vanish over night and won't return until they do so. I know from past years watch the weather, the early bite is the best if you can catch it! But don't forget conditions might seem ideal, but salmon always have there own agenda!
You'd be surprised. some of these fish are even more high tech than paper calendars. do'nt doubt me on this!!!

If you were think'n I wrote that song, I did'nt. I've written many a tune, but that ones a tune from the 1-hit-wonder, Lee Michaels. A man uglier than Rod or Martha Stewart
I would never steal a tune and claim its mine or demand praise & glory over someone else's fish. Reminds me of that Vanilla Ice loser who made an entire career out of a riff he stole from a Queen/Bowie song. He made millions always sticking to his story that he wrote that. What's worse than the fraud is claiming that peice of garbage tune was yours. Even the name Vanilla Ice sounds borrowed.
