July 3rd Night Report

Postby brushnroll » Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:20 am

Well the dusk/evening night charter continues to be a huge success. We actually left the dock later than expected and finally dropped lines in 60fow. Our best depth was 65fow straight east of Waukegan's mouth. Action was fast an consistent. In just over two hours, we landed 8 Kings, 2 Coho, and a 15lb night brown. Hot setups at night continue to be the moonshine rv wonderbread, blue flounder ponder, and a glow jointed jplug. 200 copper, 10 color, and wire dipsy out 80.

Pictures our on our Facebook page if you want to take a look.

God speed,

Capt. Joel

Thanks for the report Joel. Love those Moonshne. RV's were good in the day for us last week too. Guess I have to dig out the glow J's too.

Yes you do!

If I lived closer to the lake I would be out every night in the summer that wind/weather allowed.

J-plugs are really starting to pop. Seeing more and more reports of fish coming on them. Should be an awesome late summer J-plug bite coming up!
