Mr Google steered me only another lake so I went there after the neighblyhood pond yedsterday. I got fish action on my first two casts. Wow! but then i heard a scary noise and ran away.

I came back today armed with courage.

Image

The name for this nice joint is Loch Flag. Just like yesterday, I got fish on the first two casts.

Cast 1

Cast 2

Image

Missed some bites on casts 3 & 4, then caught more

Image

I caught 15 in 90 minutes. (When you do the math, you choose McRath.) Yousually, colors do'nt matter when I'm the one do'n the casting, but tonight, Blue Dingers were preferred over other colors.

It is a 1/2 mile trek to get to Loch Flag and I WILL be back! This is not the kind of joint for "sittin on the dock of the bay" guys or Montrose heads that want to fish 3 feet from where they park. It may be the doggy days of summer, but I am having great success evrywhere I go.

I will not bore you with daley fishing reports daley because the reports are like the same dumb thing evryday and the fish pretty much all look the same.

I've been fishing evry single day lately cause that's what I do. Sometimes multiple ponds in an evening, sometimes only one. Same joints: Blood, New lake (yet to be named by me), mystery lake, Neighblyhood pond (now named Dead Ricky Pond) and the new Loch Flag. I still have'nt float tubed yet because I do'nt like keeping and eating bass.

Same results, 9-15 fish each time out, often more. No skunks..that would be statiscly impossible using dingers. My fish friends and I engage in some sort of reverse intransigence. They refuse to not be caught and I insist on catching them.

I took a pic of this one because he was Karen Carpenter skinny.

Image

Then I remebered this one I caught about 20 feets away.

Image

Couldn't figure how one could be so fat and the other so skinny when they are chompin on the same things in the same pond. But fish are just like anglers. Some just too fat, some just to scrawny and some just right. Only Goldylocks can tell us who's who.

Wow! How quigly I fish 5 days in a rowe and how quigly I take 5 days off.

Thought a skunk was coming my way. I started @ Loch Flag and once again a scary noise scared me away after only four casts with no fish. Next stop: Dead Ricky Pond. It was a bust until a I was saved by a dink bass. So into 80s rock, I named him Zero.

Last stop: The New Lake (yet to be named by me) and the fishing was much better. Caught this one while taking a leek.

Lesson: When your zipper is down, keep yo9ur guard up.

Twisted Sister

Image

This fish came in like a slitering snake. Did not know why at first. What a sick twisted pervert fish. It needs either a chirocracter or a Jesus to make it feel better.

Last lesson: Most evrything was caught top watering dingers parrallell to shore. Cast ahead of you to not spook the close-to-shore fish. BUT...before moving foward to next spot, turn around and cast backwards to the area behind you that you just hammered. You think all those fish are spooked and gone? WRONG! I got the biggest bass tonight by do'n this.

Purdy sunset bass!

Anutter slow start, but then thingz heated up. Tired of pond hopping I went only to The New Lake (yet to be named by me) and worked some corners I do'nt ever do.

It took 10 retrieves through the same spot. Don't know why this one skipped the bait the first 9ine times until she really pounched on it and screamed off with it.

These fish were so close to shore that if they got any closer, they would have sprouted legs and became pedestrial ugly green women, looking much like your average clf wife. (hint: that was a tip, not on how to find an ugly spouse, but on how to catch bass where they are hang'n out currantly) You will always learn things you thought you never knew by reading the Zombie Chronicles.

And on and on it went and where it ended up nobody knows.

T'was time to check out Mystery Lake and to see if'n it had any water left. I headed out with the goal of 14 bass. Why 14? I do'nt know go ask someone else.

Holy crap! It dropped another 2 feet. Estimates: 45% lost surface area, 55% lost water volume, down six feet overall. That leaves only 3-4 feet of water...these fish are dead men walking come winter.

Image

Water quality was crap. Yes crap. Looked like the crap in your toilet after a night of consuming MD 20/20, WD40, White Castle and Burritos. Don't doubt me on what that looks like! I have combined worse.

Fishing was tough at first. The first half hour turned up nothin. A look into my eyes would reveal true determination and grit, not the sad hollowness of a pitted Martini olive, so I ploughed away to be able to provide you a fishing report.

Now land locked, there are trapped fish in this once honey hole corner spot of zombie fish

Image

Final results were 8 landed, 7 missed hookings/flop offs, not including all the missed blowups. Does that equal 14? I hope so but probalbly not.

Wow! It's been about 100,000,000 years, but I got the skunk. Not like the no bite skunk because I did hook and loose 7 bass tonight. But I never touched a sindle fish.

Yesterday was better. Fish half the time and landed 15, mostly mediums with about 4 dinkages. Ya, I got some pics but you do'nt get to see them this time cause you been read'n the chronicles for years and do'nt do a darn thing to support it or contrubute..

Guide count is a wonderful thing. Least you didn't run into incoherent drunk stoners and happy suburban lifestylers throwing rocks in your honey's hole. I is retired and hate weekends. But at least I catched fish.

I'm beginning to beleive the old cliche that all fishermen are liars. I stop at a neighblyhood pond I've never cast into the other day. A man is fishin with his kids. I ask him how the action is. He says ok, they caught a few blue gills and "that the pond is down 10 feet from the drought!" I'm stand'n right there and it is clear the pond is only down 2 feet. He walks away and I look to see where the water would be if'n it was 10 feet higher @normal times. It would have flooded the park there and every single home in the neighblyhood around the pond. Liar!

I had no desire to go to WoodTickVille (Mystery Lake) but everyone here is dying to know if it filled up from the rains. The answer is no. Didn't go up. Didn't go down. Just got muddy.

Mr. First Fish looked a little bleached out. Or maybe the word is peaked (2 syllables, pronunced Pee Kid).

Image

When ghost-white from a teenage life-threatening hangover, my grandma always told me I looked peaked. I don't even know what that means. I'm sure she didn't either. Grandmothers are overrated and stupid.

I knew I hated her when she saw that picture of one of my favorite rock stars in my Hit Parader magazine and rudely commented. She said he looked disgusting and that " if that man was my son, I'd feed him to the pigs!" She was always griping about my "discordant" music. I don't even know what that means. I'm sure she didn't either.

The bass were still bite'n when I left, but free West Nile Virus samples were starting to be handed out. I hate W.N.V. even more than I hate grandmothers, so I split faster than a tele-evangelist from hell.

I caught 9. No tanks, only bass. I thought I did pretty good considering the water quality was that of a pot of stirred up green mud. A pot of green mud would be a better choice to feed to the pigs than James(JY)Young any day of the week.

Getting fish after 7 last night. Sunset I watch guy across lake load up quick and run to truck. Less than 2 minutes later the brown swarm of death hit me. I left faster than the other guy.

I hope you are not starting up that diarrhea talk again. I have'nt produced the brown swarm of death in awhile. :)18

But Im guess'n you are talkin skeeters. I fish pretty much unbothered, then theres that moment a little after the sun goes over the horizon and BAM! Billions of em. I'd like to drop a few lbs, but not by getting my blood stolen. :)11

Wow! a contrubution to the Chronicles! Thank you FF. you deserve a reward. The Chronicls is largely ignored, mostly by snobbish people. Contrubuatins of content, reports and pics are always welcomed here. :)2
