Fished a few spots in McHenry from shore. While most might consider it foolish to fish on a day when temps are exceeding 100 degrees, me and some buddys went out anyways and actually had a pretty good day. Buddys mostly fished with bobbers and either crawlers or minnows and did pretty well. caught a ton of gills a handful of smaller cats and a couple crappie. im not much of a hook and bobber guy personally, instead i used some cranks, spinners and plastics. one of the largemouth i caught was probably one of the biggest ive ever personally caught. thats my size 12 boot next to it. had to have been 20+ inches and at least 6 lbs. good fish. good day.
