first time @ the lakefront in yrs... beautiful evening to be out... was pressed for time so didn't get to stay long, but got in a little bit of fishing from 7:00 till 8:30... threw, Cleos, Ko's, kastmasters, & crocs... Got a few bumps... but was unable to set the hook. heading back out 2mrw with my brother to try my luck again
Special shoutout to Angler's Outlet on 159th in Markham...
great outfitters & baitshop..w/ everything you need for cheap... & the people are super helpful... Anybody coming from out south (burbs) check em out.. they'll get you right
I'll re-update this thread 2mrw evening... when a way bigger allotment of time to fish... & hopefully me & bro will have something good to report

If you are targetting the silvery fish, I would recommend waiting until colder water( 63 or lower) returns. In thefall these fish can and will be caught in warm water when their instinct to spawn overcomes their instinct for self preservation. Summertime fish will relate to their programmed optimum water temps-53 to 63 ( with the higher end of the range suitable for trout). Save your time and energy until the times are right. And by the way..you should check your PM's.

thanks for the screw man... i decided to give it an early try, because i had heard a few folks picked up Kings off of Burnham Harbor, Northernly Island & near the Shedd... figured on a nice summer nite, even if i don't catch, a cool lake breeze & budlime isn't half bad :D

People who say that are the ones that believe it is a waste of time to try and target them before the "Fall run."
I believe, at least out here, they are often referred to as rumnuts.
