Hit Burnham today for the first outing of the season. Lines wet by 8:30, started pulling in dinks by 8:45. Waxies and minnow heads were equally successful, i sized my presentation up a bit to see if i could pull anything out worth keeping, I used a Northland Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon in glow perch with a minnow head on it. Picked up 2 in about the 8" range. Non-stop dink action, but it kept my Dad entertained. i was setup in 26 fow, action was in 6' - 12'.
Setup 2 tip ups, one with a spawn sac and the other with a whole fathead, no hits on them.
Ice in the harbor around the star docks is safe, about 8" thick, however the ice breaker comes through the center channel and breaks it up and really churns the harbor up, the cracking and the water coming up through the holes may be unsettling for some, but it is very solid within the star docks.
