Waukegan 7-9 with Enforcer SR and JR

Postby washhusky102 » Sat Jul 09, 2011 1:52 pm

Chuckie boy finally got off his can to do some trolling with me. Along with his son we launched bright and early.

Wanted to really run my Spindoctors with Larger flies versus what i have been using the last several weeks "Small dodgers/flashers and peanut flies so all lines except boards had the SD setups. It did not take long for the rigger down 30 25 back to go off and we have our first fish in the box.

Then we start getting the dispys going. Rigger never went off again

Ran 1 board off each side with jointed fastracs and "chucks pic" a reno viola signature series fastrac gets crushed and what we believe was a steelie come flying out of the water and comes off. These hooks have rotating excalibur hooks and they still came free :x

We struggled to find any consistent area and just picked off fish here and there from 50-70 ft. The lack of numbers the sizes made up for it.

We wound up going 7 for 11

Met up with ichthguy aka Paul. They pulled some fish as well and when i met them at the boat landing after fishing they hand me this :)2

Thanks a lot Paul and son :)2

Chuck had a great time and we need to do it again my friend :)2

Great job, the cohos are getting big, lots of bait to eat this year, we were out in the same area went 4 for 8 had to get off the water by 9:30 got back to the harbor, found we had flat tire right rear, then cpo pulled up checked saftey gear found my flayers and fire bottle were expired. He said he could give us 0ver 250 .00 in fines but gave us a brake. also the motor on the boat lost power on the way in. it wont go over 3500 rpm, At least the fishing was good. Thght lines

Wow thats cool he gave you guys a break :)2 Many years ago at Pastrik i was checked and same deal with flares and such and since then i never forget before the season to make sure. I can see why the stress though. You need them items for your own good but i can see how it slips a guys mind from time to time. Sucks to hear about all them problems you encountered. We have all been there before. At least your not like Big Saw. He torched his car on the way home from a fishing trip :o amongst other things

Good stuff Tommy

Andy,
Chase and I really appreciated the invite and thanks for having us out. I thought we did extremely well considering the Lake was flat as glass, Chase said you are stand up guy even though your spelling suck's he said you do know your stuff and enjoyed coming out with us and would be happy to do it again with out the Gorilla Tape. Got done smoking the fish last night and they are Delicious. Till next time Connecticut.
