Either way, they basically are the same battery, but from a different manufacturer.
I also have the uninterruptable power supplies that these batteries came from for $5 each if anyone is interested. They work as a charger and will keep your batts conditioned and fully charged. I have a bank of six of these units running for all my personal batteries.
The batteries are not only for Vexilars - you can use them for all your 12v locators and underwater cameras. I use them for my shanty lighting and for powering my locator, GPS and livewell pump on my kayak.
