Maybe it is still too early for outdoor church at the shelter???

Man the water is full of fishies.

I'll let these do the talking....

blu -

your posts inspired me to get out the fly rod. My wife got it for my birthday present in February. I;ve been nailing the bluegills, and just this week got my first crappies. I've tried a crayfish pattern for bass, but they are on the beds and are not interested. Some bigger crappies grabbed it though.

After church today, my wife took me out fishing.

Today, my 8-wt rod got its first real flex and the drag was whining - I got a 3-lb catfish on a black gnat! Other than a mosquito pattern, this is the smallest fly I've got. THE BEST PART WAS THAT MY WIFE walked up just as I nailed the cat. Prior to that, the crappie were biting. I'll try to add a pic later.
