Sunday Morning Surf

Grand Isle, Louisiana. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise, had a liesurely breakfast and a cup of joe, walked out to the pier, made a cast with the 10' net and was rewarded with about 50 small but frisky bait shrimp.

Toted the yaks over the protection levee to the rock piles in the Gulf of Mexico.

Fished for an hour or so and caught a couple dozen specks and reds freelining the live shrimp on a small hook with 10# mono. C&R the sows but kept a few nice ones for lunch.

........so we decided to unload the fishing gear on the beach and do a little yak surfin!.
