i was on google and did a serch on chicago goth there are like 4
chicago goth sites all these kids blog this blog that and there are tons of pics on the sites , will the guys that saw the kids serch it and try and id
the low lifes there is a good chance that one of them is on one of the sites
and look out for your fellow anglers and if you se anything like this agn do
not let them get away it is your ticket to trebble hook a goth punk do
it for this guys kids and family they deserve justice .

i have been grinding on the net trying to find chicago goth guys with tatos
on there arms this is the only one so far but i did also find a goth tea room on 800 montrose .

I wondered that as well. I suppose you gotta start somewhere. While there are many cliques out there we can probly rule out glee clubs and honor societies.
Like I tell my kids, if you want to "be yourself" and stand out from the pack in society, you also become the most visible.
My guess is it a bunch of punks with a case of cheap beer, no curfew, slacker parents, and a camcorder trying to be a "net star".
Mom and Dad will be on the tube crying when they find them about how poor Johnny is a good kid, that teen angst left him confused.
Bull. Your kid= your responsible.
They'll turn up, somebody will be running thier mouth about this time by the lake.......trying to impress folks with thier act of rebellion.

I am Thankful that we have all these supporters that care about each other. Next weekend or anytime I am at my boat and I get up early, I will make a point to walk the area and keep my eyes open. If more of the concerned public is out there we might deter these kind of idiots. I heard some good news that someone has been caught but I am sure there's a lot more out there. I know at the docks we have life preservers, if there was only a way they could have those on the shore which they can't because of theft and vandekism it would be great. I would like to see you shorefisherman bring cushions that are throwable life preservers. Serves 2 purpose, you can sit on them and who know can be an invaluable safety aid.

goth? they said they looked like skin heads on the news, and you can not say they look alike at all. and the way this world is to day its going to be some kids from the berbs like oak brook or naperville that did not get hugged when the where little.

I believe in the old adage innocent till proven guilty. I opt that if the funds are not needed to find the murderers and not given out it should go to either the family or a worthy cause. I hear one has been caught and there was a total of five. Or can be saved for future problems like these.

the part that i cant get over is that people watched this happen! Im practically taking my shoes off now preparing to jump in and save this guy!

IF you go to wbbm channel 2 news you will see that they turned them self in and there is a three min interview with Jay Levein. there maybe other that have been doing this also.

I just dont understand this. How could anyone perform such an inhumane thing on innocent people who are out there living life and having a good time.

By any means, I am not ignoring the situation at hand. I, too, have experienced an untimely death of a family member drowning while fishing (no relation to this event) 4 months ago on the Mississippi. But the only thing that sticks to my head is the hurt and suffering that this man's family has to face.

Nothing will ever bring this man back, but I would really hope and pray that those who are responsible for it will get punished for it.

This story hits so close to home because I, too, am Asian. I, too, have witnessed death. And the eerie part of it is that this man lives 2 blocks away from me.

My prayers go out to the familes...

According to Fox News at noon 3 people turned themselves in to police. They claim that the man was not pushed in but was bumped when one of the people was running to meet up with their friends. They also claim that they did not know the man had died until they heard about it on the news.
