Me and Nate got out to desplaines last night for a quick trip that really paid off. We hit some new spots we have been eager to try but just never wanted to make the long run. Got into the gar really heavy so we pretty much stuck to shooting those. Nothing to big but we got a nice mixed bag of spotted, shortnose, and longnose. Did shoot a couple really nice commons and smallmouth. A few commons over 15lbs and the buffs were around 12-13lbs. Finally stuck a nice grassie around 30lbs. Short fish but boy was it fat. Totals for the night were 10-15 gar, a dozen carp and buffs, and the grassie.
After seeing as many as I did in the daytime I figured they would be thick at night!
