Last night and this morning

Postby Mother » Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:39 pm

I ahve been having a slow season, gotten skunked more than I'd like to admit. Last night finally broke the dry spell but just barely.

Got this young one about 15 minutes before shooting time was up. Image

Then got back out again and connected with this guy.Image

Got Dave out to the blind yesterday morning, he connected with a nice drake mallard, mine flew away. Shoulda snapped a photo for prosperrities sake. Still a slow season, but these kinda make up for it. So darn tasty.

Congrats on the Canvasback Jay!

We didn't do much better this morning. Two hen mallards and a goose. Not as many flying today as there have been, but the locals are getting wary I guess. We need some flight birds and some rain.

Rain is coming, but the cold is not. So we can just hope for a slight push and wait.

Is slow even the word right now? These high 60'd days are killing me, not the ducks.
