Can one of the C.P.O.'s find out the real reason that the pier is closed for the winter and if anything can be done to get it reopened. We were told it would not be closed due to them rerouting the pipe which would alleviate the problem of access over the bridge. This is really a popular spot to get some soft water fishing in the winter and closing the pier puts folks elbow to elbow which causes hassles over crossed lines etc. Any information is greatly appreciated.
