How big was your bass when you got him in your tank? My youngest son caught the smallest bass on a little bigger minnow. That bass was one and a half inches long! He put it in the minnow bucket and told me he wants to put it in the fish tank at home. I thought it wouldnt last a week as it would had been hard to feed them. And he got a little bluegill the same size as the bass too! In the bait bucket was a catfish from the bait shop! Oh boy I thought well lets see how he takes care of them all. We started out feeding them flakes. It took a while for them to eat it. Then we got pellets for wild fish. They start to take it. Right now they are BIG! Bass is fifteen inches and about four inches high, bluegill is six inches long, catfish seven inches and has a big head. They all are five years old now. I guess you could "train" them to eat the pellets which would be a little easy for you. But we couldn't let them go free now as they are so used to the pellets. They know Iam coming and watch me open the can to feed them and rush up the the top to be ready to eat! Of all of this we do take good care of them and love to watch them.....
