I have been given permission to hunt an 80 acre piece of property in Kankakee County. While doing a little scouting I discovered a ladder stand that had been placed there illegaly. I double checked with the property owner to make sure it wasnt his or someone else that had permission to hunt there. He told me that I am the only one allowed to hunt there and that I could take the stand if I wanted it. I would like to know if it's legal to take this stand with the property owners permission or should I contact the local cops or DNR first..
