I was an outdoor writer and a trout and smallmouth maniac in my native PA and also edited the State TU mag in PA for 14 years. I've been tying since 1965 and chasing wild trout with a flyrod mostly in smaller waters since I graduated from college in the early 70's I'd like to see this site perk up a little myself and would be happy to answer any destination questions about the East or questions on smaller stream trout fishing. I'm curious about the SMB fishery in the Fox and 3K and also about the largemouth fishery in the Forest Preserve lakes particularly in Lake County. My problem has been staying out of Wisconsin long enough to get more familiar with local waters since we arrived out hwere 18 months ago...:) My observation so far is that the LMB fisheries in the local lakes are significantly under utilized and I suspect there are some suprising fish present. I could of course be wrong... I was once in 1978 and almost again another time in 1983...:)
So, I'm in if we are revving this conversation up a couple thousand rpm...
