As a steelhead addict who has recently been lured into the sport (I didn't need much coaxing) by Dr. Bob Long Jr. I can tell you that every rod and reel has a purpose or destination just as every fly is suited to different fish and fishing conditions. Trail creek and other small bodies of water with over hanging trees may require an 8'0" or 8'6" rod while larger bodies of water may require any number of 9'0" to 14'6" rods The feel when fishing with 3 and 4 weight glass rods is absolutely essential to catching line shy rainbows in clear water conditions while steelhead fishing may warrant a 5,6 or 7 weight rod it just all depends. etc, etc, etc. This is all ridiculous of course but by the time I get through spinning all of this Hooey interwoven with some fact and direct quotes from Dr. Long, my wife is ready to sign the d*%& check herself just to shut me up. Thank you Bob you are an inspiration to us all and by the way I need a good reason for the new 0 weight that I want to get for the bull bluegills that should be putting on the feed bag in a few weeks. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
