Actually Jeff I'm not going to argue with you, because each person has their own reason to be on the water. It's not that the fish aren't in the water, it's just the environment in general that leaves a bit to be desired. If all your after is fish, there is plenty of them in many of the lakes and rivers. If your there for solitude, scenery, and fish, then I can't argue with you. But it's kind of nice to hit the Fox for an hour on my way home from work, and as much as I would probably rather be someplace else I try not to forget that at least I have something right in my backyard. Each place has it's negatives, I mean I fished the Madison this summer and as pretty as it was, I couldn't believe the traffic of drift boats. I swear one other boat and ours must have passed each other 50 times through the course of the day. It really rivaled the crowds I see around here somewhat. Not that it wasn't great, it's just if we look hard enough we can find good or bad in just about anything.
Just my $.02.
