I do the carp on the fly thing. It is really something when you hook them fair and square on a dry. Fight like a King but with more speed.
Question. I've never fished for them until the caddis hatches of summer. How do you go for them so early? Where? What type of water will they be in. What fly and presentation do you use.
Secondly. I've had more than one carp fly guy say that small, size 12, streamers made of a little gold or silver tinsel will get the carp to take. I've tried these but have not had success...yet.
Share your thoughts please.
