Last March I caught a 30in. carp off a Hex nymph size #6. I've caught them off dry flies in the summer, but with very
little frequency. I have used a mulberry fly when they are feeding under mulberry trees. The IM canal has an
abundance of mulberry trees hanging over the water. There are always carp under mulberry trees. Even caught a channel cat
off a mulberry fly once. Most of the areas that I fish for carp are mud flats in the DuPage River. Backwater or areas with very slow
current. Most of the carp that I have caught have been off of a sinking rubber legged spider with a chartruese butt.
I don't know why, but it seems to work best. White rubber legs, chartruese chenille butt and black chenille body. Size 10-12 nymph hook is what
I usually use.

Good Luck
Scud
