I'm a fly fishing guide and do trips all summer for carp here in Northern Michigan. Fish will readily take most big buggy lucking nymph patterns. Damsel nymphs, Hex nymphs, Olive caddis nymphs tied with rug yarn, and as someone else said a sinking spider with a bright painted spot to attract. I'll also use some saltwater shrimp patterns & SMALL crayfish patterns. Most of my fishing is sight fishing, either wading or with boat, just like fishing for bonefish. Too much fun!!!!!
