I am anxious to give fly fishing a try this year, and am considering purchase of either a Bass Pro or Cabela combo for around 100.00. I realize these combo sets may not be the cats meow, but I do not want to make a large investment and have it sit if I do not take to the fly fishing. My co worker has been inviting me to fish for salmon in the rivers of MI and I wish to go with him this spring. Has anyone had any experience with the White River or Cabelas line of fly rods and reels?
