Cabelas and hookhack.com have pretty good starter kits. When I first started I got
a fiberglass starter kit from Kmart. It has lasted a long time and I caught lots of fish with this
flyrod. My sons now use it. I would advise you to go cheap at first. If you don't like
flyfishing then you are not out too much money. If you do get hooked, it won't matter because
if you are like many of us, you will always be looking to upgrade and add different weight/length rods to your arsenal. If you are considering Salmon
fishing, get at least a 7-8 wt.
