yeah- i cast both the 4 piece #4 (fishing and demo) and a #2...i'd guess the 4 equal to many rods and definitely good enough for a 10 trip/year guy, not to mention a true travel rod. the only beginner combo worth the money i've seen...and a great deal for saltwater sizes (10# reel and rod)for those of us not on briny shores...
