I like the Ross Canyon Big Game. I have one for my St. Croix Imperial 8 wt. It can cost a bit more than other reels, and it may be overkill for the kind of fishing you're planning on doing, but it is a very good reel. For big salmonids that like to take long runs, it is a great piece of equipment
