It's finally happened, I'm going to try some fly fishing for panfish
and whatever. I found a brand new Abu Garcia 8 1/2 foot fly rod in my
friend's basement (he gave it to me). The rod was in a cardboard tube,
untouched, and is approximately 25 years old. It's in great shape.
It's supposedly a good not great fly rod.
What type of fly reel do you recommend for a beginner that wants to use
the setup for panfishing using dry flies? Thanks.
