Orvis makes a low-end, storage reel that is really well built for about $30. I think it's called the "clearwater". I've used one for a couple years and like it better than more expensive reels from other makers. This has no adjustable drag, just enough built in to prevent backlash. I've landed everything from 5 lb. bass to panfish with it
