Not the opener, but I fished Tues and Wed at Mt Vernon. Got out about 4:30 on Tues, managed to hook a couple of small fish but lost both. Wed I fished from about noon to 3:00. Hooked a couple of more and lost them, one felt pretty big. Just when I thought I was going to end the day skunked again, I got a 16" brown on a leech pattern. Considering the weather (low 20's Tues, high 20's Wed) I'd say it was a pretty good opening week. I was surprised to see a few fish rising. The two I hooked Tues took an Adams Parachute. They were rising to something, but I didn't see a thing on the water.
