Generally, no. Most two-fly rigs are drifted in such a way that the flies are perpendicular to the fish. Additionally, the trout's decision to take is immediate and swift and the angler's setting of the hook is (if he is to be successful..) equally immediate. There is little time for the trout to ponder. Add to this the fact that a trout has a brain the size of a walnut or smaller and you can see that fish really do not have these kinds of deep thoughts and the problem does not exist...
