Another problem i noticed with catch and release lakes is that many of the fish i have caught, have obviously been caught before. I know this, due to the fact the fishes jaw is all red, assuming from infection from all the hooks being pulled from its jaw. Many times the jaw itself has been damaged from sloppy hook removal.
It may sound silly, but they should come up with some kind of salve, like in chapstick form, that you could apply to the wound, especially in this day in age of C&R.
Does anyone know for fact thqt if you left a hook in a fish, tht it would dissolve?
