There is a small lake that is catch and release only in Wheaton, called Foxcroft. I fish it often and have many stories. One in paticular i would like to share. On several occasions in the past there was a bass that would attack any bluegill or crappie that i released. On fathers day i went out with my dad and little brother and the Big Boy struck again. This time i went prepared we brought large roach minnows with us anticipating some of the bass that i have heard stories about from this little pond. After we saw the swirl from this bass attacking a blugill that was let go, i put on the biggest roach in the bucket. Pitched it out only about 2 or 3 feet from shore and literally 30 seconds later the bobber started to qiuver and i saw the roach swim towards the surface. Next thing i know, slurp! I saw this bass suck in this minnow. Man, what a fish! I wieghed 4.2 pounds on the berkley scale and probably the biggest bass i have caught in 5 years. Released of course. This is a fantastic little pond and would like to hear from other CPR anglers who are familier with this lake. (history, stocking, depth, or stories).
