: : : Word is that when you get caught and they take your name down. Get caught again and it is a $150 fine. NO fish is worth that much LOL. I've heard they want to turn that area into a nature preserve. If the government does indeed own it, any decisions will be slow and costly to us taxpayers! OZ
: : i've fished it.
: : it's pretty cool, but this is going years back.
: : a friend of mine took me back there, and he used
: : to go all the time.he never worried about getting busted.i would say it's alot like
: : going to the lemont quarries.they are both supposed to be deep, and be good to fish.if it's close to your house, I would go;I'm sure
: : getting caught fishing there is no more trouble
: : than a speeding ticket:and if you do,don't forget to post your experience back up here.
: : and if that's not enough excitement,check out
: : Lemont Quarries, they won't chase you if you run.See you in jail.
: how was the fishing when you went, whipper? good, bad, or so-so?
: thanx?
it's hard to say.i used to drink back then,
can't remember too many details.my buddy who is a very avid fisherman and other friends of mine
rave about the place.i've heard there's mostly
big bass and walleye in there.if you have never
been there it is worth checking out.
the water is crystal clear and deep.the lake
is about 30 feet below 111th street,so once you are down there you can't be seen.i would go at a perfect time with all my gear ready to fish
and hit the water hard for about 30 minutes.it will take the cops at least that long to get there;and if anyone else but a uniformed officer approached me while i was there,i
would just run.so travel light, don't go with more than one other person, and just be prepared
to act stupid if your feet fail you.
