************* STOP ************

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DO NOT THINK WATER TEMP IS IMPORTANT.

*******************************

FYI

Blackwell, Silver Lake Surface temp Friday , 10/08/99 – 57 deg F.

Round Meadow Lake Saturday 10/16/99 -- 60 deg F.

Same Thermometer

I expect Silver Lake is even cooler now. Quite a difference. Up in Wisconsin this spring the lakes we fished over 4 day span ranged from 58 to 60. In the coldest lakes only Pile were active –no LM Bass. 59 and 60 degree lakes had lots of active LM Bass. A degree or two made a difference. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Trivia Question:

LM Bass are supposed to be at peak feeding level-100%- when water temp is 75 and only at 60% when it is 60. But why might you have better fishing success in the spring and fall with the temp around 60? There are at least two good reasons maybe more.

To be eligible for prizes post a reply here by midnight 10/19/99.
