: Fished in a NWMA tournament from 08:30 to 12:30 and the results:
: 1st 23.0 lbs Gills and shiners, No Carp or Cats!
: 2nd 22.2 lbs
: 3rd 20.8 lbs
: 4th 19.6 lbs
: 5th 19.3 lbs
: 6th 19.0 lbs
: 7th 18.0 lbs
: 8th 14.2 lbs
: 9th 10.8 lbs
: 10th 5.7 lbs -> OZ
: 11 4.4 lbs
: As far as I know no Carp cuaght by anyone, although a few lost a few of them. One goldfish(technically a Carp) and some Catfish for the bigger of the fish caught. One angler(not in the tournament) caught four catfish bottom fishing with cut bait and shrimp in less that two hours.
: ALL fish were released, even the angler catching the cats let them go :-)
: Met a fellow CF member, but didn't really impress him by catching anything exciting LOL.

The amount of 3-6 inch bluegills it takes to come up with a weight of 5.7 lbs is impressive enough for me. I have never in my life used a size 22 hook either. I am not even sure if I could find a way to tie the knot because the hook is so small.
For anyone who has not seen these anglers fish a tournament, I would encourage you to watch the next time you have the opportunity.
Thanks for visiting with me.
